I agree that the data is interesting, I myself have never been comfortable with the recapture extension in testsuites as it redistributes search effort from lines that treat material va banque. In normal games it might be that the search effort is used mor effectively though (maybe, maybe not. Bears examination). The search space 5^5 is small enough that a complete search is possible. But for a more comprehensive search, and even more extension types, a Genetic Algorithm could be used and there could be an arbitrary resolution to the individual Extension values.
