I guess it's a personal choice thing. With your chess games ending up in MemoPad, you then need to move them from there to an app on the PC that can play over them, each time you sync, if you want to play them over on your PC. With Pocket Chess's method, the games automatically end up in a nice little "database" app on the PC that allows you to play over them graphically (you can import/export PGNs to/from that app too, if you want -- but you aren't REQUIRED to do that each and every time you have new games). Pocket Chess also allows you to export games to the MemoPad on the Palm, but I prefer the other mechanism, having tried both several times.
