To my knowledge, the reason he traveled to TASC back in the early 90's was to present the patent to TASC and hopefully get some royalties if TASC chose the technology. The judgment seems to indicate that the technology was used but no royalties were offered. There have been only two piece-recognition boards ever commercially available: the TASC Smartboard and, earlier, the Mephisto Bavaria. This is a strange, strange business we are in! - Steve
