Crafty definitely counts the number of times an extension is applied.  The
"test" for extensions is done at _every_ ply.  So the calculation you want
is simply done/non-q-search-nodes...

even when you set something like ext/pushpp=0.0, it still "thinks" it is
extending as far as the 'counter' goes...
