From this message and some reactions one can get the
impression that has to choose between either using MFC
or writing console applications. However, it is also
possible to use the more traditional Windows programming
style, described best in Programming Windows... by
Charles Petzold. That is what I am doing myself.
In other words, although I program a GUI, I do not
use the MFC.
