Yes, but it has a certain charme, like a horror movie poster from the fifties...
Vincent Price, and Frankenstein's bride in the background. But this was a
special "deluxe" edition by boeder; I think the original CB cover didn't have
much of a picture.

But in those days, you were lucky if there was a box at all. I have purchased
several chess programs which came in a paper envelope.

My favorite is the Sargon III cover, with that artistic photo.

It would be nice to discuss, what is the best chess photo ever... the Cowderoy
website has many examples - but this is off topic. Maybe I start a thread in the
GCF.
