Hallo

Your problem sounds different then the problem on W2000. On W2000 S5 refuses to
work at all without the patch. So i think your problem is somewhere else. Whats
about the SOS engine. These engine is doing its own protection check.
Nevertheless is the patch recommenden for win98/95/me too because there is a
problem with the booklearning without the patch (In fact there is NO book
learning at all without).

So if you have an original CD i am sure your Problem is somewhere else but not
on the CD side.
