I see that Chess Master is all the time good program for solving mates. I used
Chess Master 4000 few years ago and it was all the time impecable.

I don't know for now shortest moves, since I also found mate in 12 moves in 4
seconds. But I found mate by selective search. By brute force it can take hours.
