There are definitely some bugs in the new protocol. The new version of Mint is implemented entirely with this protocol (so forget about the Fritz stuff :)) but I've managed to get it to work without compromising my original design. I use the "usermove" feature, so the moves don't come to the engine as a complete surprise (something I never liked) but are expected. Anyway, I guess that is why I'm not getting this bug :) I suggest you keep faith in the new protocol, I'm sure mr Mann will sort the bugs out pretty soon. The largest advantage of the new protocol as I see it is that a new programmer can hook his program up to a fancy GUI in a relatively clean way, much cleaner than with the old version. So for the sake of programmers to come I am no longer supporting the obsolete protocol in any way, and I hope that Chessbase are eventually forced to implement it _properly_ ...
