The thing with the use of EG database + others not using it is a serious
question. One should ask the Swedish folks 'bout this......
The other one, concerning " power books " - is quite easy to understand,
if one
does / did some researches on them special books of the progs.
Name them " power " "GM " " tournament " - they're all mainly not
dedicated for the use against GM's - but mostly against mechanic
oponents;
having these circumstances in mind - FRITZ' books were allways crap -
according to the high standards of Ed's, Richard's + others.
The only lines where they were basically good enough were the Queens
gambit lines, D22 - 29; D 47-49.
So I suggest they did some improvements there - to name it this way -
like all the other progs...and human GM's do, as well.
And remembering the book learning features of the most of them - it'll
remain interseting to see, HOW good the improvement was, after all.

And concerning the engine assuming - I'd still like ( + do so ) use
different
engines under this platform to get different sighted answers for my
questions
than only one....from F5.
