Last week I bought a copy of Chessmaster8000 and installed it on my
older machine, a Cyrix P150. It would'nt start. I put the CD in the drive
and clicked on "Run", then the CM8000 startup graphic and an empty window
appeared, along with an hour glass, and the computer froze. The hour glass
could still be moved with the mouse.
It happened that I was upgrading this week, so I thought I would'nt
worry about it, the new machine would run it, no problems.
The new machine is a Pentium 4, 1.3 gHz, 128 mb RD Ram. A powerful
unit. I installed CM8K and when I tried to run it, exactly the same
thing happened. Has anyone else had the same, or similar problem?
If so, what can I do about it? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm wondering if I got a bad disk.
