I had the same exact problem with CM8 when i got it and it turned out that when i upgraded my cpu, (being the chessnerd i am) i had not intalled the soundcard, and CM8 will not run without a soundcard, not even when it is in the cpu uninstalled, so maby you should check into that :-) Regards Jonas
