It is just not the the kind of game we all used to love.
It is understandable that in pseudo profesional weekend tournaments you decrease
the time control.
But in international competitions?
For instance, we used to look at the games between the World Champs and
challenger and savored new plans, ideas, strategies. Now, we are going to see
more inaccuracies and a different attitude toward the game. I do not like it.
2:00 hs/40 moves was clearly different than the traditional 2:30/40 but it was
something that was tolerable. Anything less than that and the game changes
dramatically.
