CHESSMASTER CMxxxx SUGGESTION-- Show total thinking time taken by CM8000, move by move, in Game Analysis, using HH:MM:SS.DD format (maybe .DD is not necessary). This info should be saved with the rest of the Game Analysis. Some programs provide this; some do not. On occasion, some strong programs use minimal time to analyze a specific move, and the reported Eval and PV are based on a limited think time. Sometimes the Eval and PV suffer due to this limited think time. I am not sure how, or how well, CM8000 allocates its thinking time when a certain average seconds per move has been selected (speaking in general, since the upcoming patch will fix some time control bugs); however, it is easier to spot and interpret such special situations when the time is shown. Also, when I wish to compare the analysis of two or more programs for a specific move, I like to duplicate the analysis time on the second or third program, to ensure a fair equivalent time has been used. Thanks, --Steve
