Exactly !!!!
This speaks out of my soul.
And this is what I always tried to explain them.
WHEN I want to measure something, I should take care to have FAIR
chances at the beginning.
I optimise this at home with using 2 K6/200 machines.
These games with different machine speed do not provide serious data.
THATS the thing.

If we want to measure something we should make sure that anything is at
its best.
All these things are not trivial. Very complicated due to the fact that
elo-ratings under humans do NOT have these problems. There is no
kasparov clon running with 3 times the speed !
The mechanism work together in a different kind of movement in
human-chess and in computer chess. The movements in computer-chess are
less fluid.
Anything stucks in the mechanical problems computerchess is embedded.
In human chess there are no mechanics that can stuck.
We have to be careful not to forget that the effects are different.
