It does not mean that the programs of today can use the new time control and I understood that James walker meant to ask if the programs of today can use the new time control. Fritz engines can use fisher time control and can also 90 minutes/40 moves +15 minutes/game but they are not programmed to use the sum of these time control and in order to use them in the fide events you have to change the time control manually during the game.
