Subject: Fritz and the French Opening

Just downloaded the SSDF Fritz games from Tony Hedlund's site ( thanks
again Tony for providing the games) and started playing over the 20
Rebel 8 (P-90) vs Fritz 5(MMx-200) games. Of the 17 games Rebel 8 opened
with e4, Fritz replied with e6 on 14 of them. Do Fritz owners find
that e6 is the most popular choice for Fritz? I believe about 14 of
those French games ended up as true duplicates also.

When I examined the Junior vs Fritz games of the 8 e4 openings
Fritz this time played with more variety (only played the French once).

Was there a different opening book used against these two opponents?
