When using king safety extensions you already lock on a low depth onto Bxd5 and keep that all the plies, then at a depth where score goes up for a4 there the score for Bxd5 is already high enough to survive that part. DIEP is in the middle of the ideas of TCB and Rebel. First score goes up for a4 then it finds the shot Bxd5 with a near to +1.0 score. Note the long lines DIEP shows for Bxd5 after it finds it. Probably only reflects a part of the huge lines it needs to see in order to find it... ...note that the logs of TCB first give a4 then Bxd5 and i don't see the difference really except if you play Kh8... 00:00 8 (0) 1 -1.95 Bg2xd5 e6xd5 00:00 29 (0) 1 -1.80 Rd1xd5 e6xd5 Bg2xd5 Kg8-h8 Bd5xa8 Rd8xa8 00:00 30 (0) 1 0.28 Rg1-f1 00:00 31 (0) 1 0.39 Rd1-b1 00:00 32 (0) 1 0.54 Qa6-d6 00:00 122 (0) 2 0.27 Qa6-d6 Ra8-c8 ++ a6-b7 00:00 249 (0) 2 0.34 Qa6-b7 a7-a5 00:00 883 (281) 3 -0.58 Qa6-b7 Qh5-e2 Rd1-f1 Qe2xa2 ++ a6-d6 00:00 1410 (387) 3 0.35 Qa6-d6 Ra8-c8 Qd6-e7 ++ d1-e1 00:00 2248 (591) 3 0.37 Rd1-e1 Qh5-h4 Re1-f1 ++ a6-a3 00:00 3257 (915) 3 0.39 Qa6-a3 Qh5-e2 Rd1-f1 00:00 4049 (915) 4 0.17 Qa6-a3 Qh5-e2 Rd1-f1 g7-g6 ++ a6-d6 00:00 4774 (915) 4 0.28 Qa6-d6 Ra8-c8 Qd6-e7 Qh5-f7 00:00 11750 (1451) 5 0.38 Qa6-d6 Ra8-c8 Qd6-e7 Qh5-e8 Qe7-b4 00:01 33319 (6541) 6 0.28 Qa6-d6 Ra8-c8 Qd6-a3 Qh5-e2 Rd1-f1 Rc8-c7 ++ f2-f3 00:02 85007 (10103) 6 0.29 f2-f3 Rd8-c8 Qa6-d6 Qh5-f7 e3-e4 g7-g6 e4xd5 Rc8xc3 ++ a2-a4 00:03 108573 (15429) 6 0.32 a2-a4 Qh5-e2 a4xb5 Qe2xb5 Rd1-a1 g7-g6 00:04 199462 (45793) 7 0.25 a2-a4 b5xa4 c3-c4 Qh5-e2 Rg1-e1 Qe2xf2 c4xd5 Kg8-f7 ++ a6-d6 00:06 302705 (62191) 7 0.28 Qa6-d6 Qh5-f7 Rd1-b1 Ra8-c8 Qd6-a3 Bd7-c6 Bg2-f3 00:10 536949 (82458) 8 0.15 Qa6-d6 Qh5-f7 Rd1-d2 Bd7-e8 Qd6-b4 Ra8-c8 Rd2-d1 g7- g6 ++ a2-a4 00:15 890073 (173586) 8 0.25 a2-a4 b5xa4 c3-c4 Qh5-e2 Rg1-e1 Qe2xf2 c4xd5 Kg8-f7 ++ a6-b7 00:19 1144658 (193605) 8 0.25 Qa6-b7 g7-g6 Rd1-d2 Qh5-h4 Qb7-c7 Kg8-h8 Rg1-d1 a7 -a5 00:38 2503782 (377383) 9 0.13 Qa6-b7 Qh5-h4 Rd1-d2 Qh4-e7 Rd2-c2 Rd8-c8 Rc2-c1 g 7-g6 Rg1-d1 ++ a2-a4 01:13 5030618 (1226973) 9 0.61 a2-a4 Kg8-h8 a4xb5 Qh5-e2 Rd1-b1 Qe2xf2 c3-c4 Qf2 xe3 c4xd5 Qe3xf4 d5xe6 01:35 6679082 (1342710) 10 0.61 a2-a4 Kg8-h8 a4xb5 Qh5-e2 Rd1-b1 Qe2xf2 c3-c4 Qf 2xe3 c4xd5 Qe3xf4 d5xe6 02:45 12181416 (1490399) 11 0.85 a2-a4 Kg8-h8 a4xb5 Qh5-e2 Rd1-b1 Qe2xf2 c3-c4 Q f2xe3 c4xd5 e6xd5 Bg2xd5 Qe3xf4 Bd5xa8 Rd8xa8 ++ g2-d5 03:21 14642884 (2115136) 11 0.98 Bg2xd5 e6xd5 Rg1xg7 Kg8xg7 Qa6-f6 Kg7-g8 Rd1-g1 Qh5-g4 Rg1xg4 f5xg4 e5-e6 Bd7-c6 Qf6-f7 Kg8-h8 e6-e7 d5-d4 Kh1-g1 Rd8-c8 Qf7-f6 Kh8-g8 Qf6-e6 Kg8-h8 e3xd4 a7-a5 Qe6-f6 Kh8-g8 d4-d5 04:17 18785422 (2288523) 12 0.99 Bg2xd5 e6xd5 Rg1xg7 Kg8xg7 Qa6-f6 Kg7-g8 Rd1-g1 Qh5-g4 Rg1xg4 f5xg4 e5-e6 Bd7-c6 Qf6-f7 Kg8-h8 e6-e7 d5-d4 Kh1-g1 Rd8-c8 Qf7-f6 Kh8-g8 Qf6-e6 Kg8-h8 e3xd4 Bc6-f3 Qe6-e5 Kh8-g8 Qe5xb5 Rc8-e8 Qb5-c5 06:58 30853263 (2881187) 13 0.99 Bg2xd5 e6xd5 Rg1xg7 Kg8xg7 Qa6-f6 Kg7-g8 Rd1-g1 Qh5-g4 Rg1xg4 f5xg4 e5-e6 Bd7-c6 Qf6-f7 Kg8-h8 e6-e7 d5-d4 Kh1-g1 Rd8-c8 Qf7-f6 Kh8-g8 Qf6-e6 Kg8-h8 e3xd4 Bc6-f3 Qe6-e5 Kh8-g8 Qe5xb5 Rc8-e8 Qb5-c5 >On February 05, 2001 at 07:54:13, Ed Schröder wrote: > >>On February 05, 2001 at 00:55:10, Arturo Ochoa wrote: >> >>>[D]r2r2k1/p2b2pp/Q3p3/1p1pPp1q/5P2/2P1P3/P4PBP/3R2RK w - - >> >>5 secs. >> >>Ed >> >>----- >>Loading... >> >>Engine version : Rebel Century 2.01 >>Hash table size : 40 Mb >> >>r2r2k1/p2b2pp/Q3p3/1p1pPp1q/5P2/2P1P3/P4PBP/3R2RK w - - >> >>00:01 04.00 -0.11 1.Qd6 Qe2 2.Rxd5 Qxf2 >>00:01 05.00 -0.11 1.Rd2 Rdc8 2.Qd6 Qf7 3.Rd3 >>00:02 06.00 -0.15 1.Rd2 Rdc8 2.Qd6 Qf7 3.Rd3 Bc6 >>00:03 07.00 -0.19 1.Rd2 Rdc8 2.Qd6 Qf7 3.Rd3 Rc6 4.Qb4 >>00:05 07.20 -0.16 1.Bxd5 >>00:05 07.20 0.00 1.Bxd5 exd5 2.Rxg7+ Kxg7 3.Qf6+ Kg8 4.Rg1+ Qg4 5.Rxg4+ fxg4 >>6.Qg5+ Kf7 7.Qf6+ Kg8 8.Qg5+ Kf7 9.Qf6+ >>00:06 08.00 0.39 1.Bxd5 exd5 2.Rxg7+ Kxg7 3.Qf6+ Kg8 4.Rg1+ Qg4 5.Rxg4+ fxg4 >>6.e6 Bc6 7.Qf7+ Kh8 8.e7 d4+ 9.Kg1 Rdc8 10.cxd4 >>00:07 09.00 0.39 1.Bxd5 exd5 2.Rxg7+ Kxg7 3.Qf6+ Kg8 4.Rg1+ Qg4 5.Rxg4+ fxg4 >>6.e6 Bc6 7.Qf7+ Kh8 8.e7 d4+ 9.Kg1 Rdc8 10.cxd4 >>00:10 10.00 0.49 1.Bxd5 exd5 2.Rxg7+ Kxg7 3.Qf6+ Kg8 4.Rg1+ Qg4 5.Rxg4 fxg4 >>6.e6+ Bc6 7.Qf7+ Kh8 8.e7 Rdc8 9.e8=Q+ >>00:20 11.00 0.58 1.Bxd5 exd5 2.Rxg7+ Kxg7 3.Qf6+ Kg8 4.Rg1+ Qg6 5.Rxg6+ hxg6 >>6.Qxg6+ Kh8 7.e6 Bc6 8.f3+ Rf8 9.e7 Rfc8 10.Qxf5 d4 >>00:37 12.00 0.52 1.Bxd5 exd5 2.Rxg7+ Kxg7 3.Qf6+ Kg8 4.Rg1+ Qg4 5.Rxg4+ fxg4 >>6.e6+ Bc6 7.Qf7+ Kh8+ 8.e7 d4+ 9.Kg1 Rdc8 10.exd4 Bf3 11.d5 a5 >>01:28 13.00 0.64 1.Bxd5 exd5 2.Rxg7+ Kxg7 3.Qf6+ Kg8 4.Rg1+ > >Took TCB significantly longer to see Bxd5, but it decided that it wasn't such a >good move after a while.
