It should be absolutely knowledge standard to the audience, debatin' here, that some progs take advantage of much RAM + so on, others don't.... So I wouldn't suggest H6 to get a real kick, if using 60 MB instead of 24 on tournament mode.... fact is, well-hatered F5 get's a real benefit outta this. So what ( Sorry - IMHO ) ?? It'll lower down anyway - that's been prooved for many years - let's see - where it'll find it's balance. Like it or not : the " dull fast searcher " really got some improvements.... Nevertheless - the arguments, as certain - non commericial book was used - is, at least, astonishing....we should wait, until there's proof of this item. 'Cause this'd lead away from the rules of the organisation clearly. The other astonishing assuming " it detects, that it's connected to autoplay + then is able to detect the opponent " - is too much for my dull brain - I can't even comment this - lack of knowledge. Robert, for example, could explain easily, if he'd suggest this as possible. This'd be a kinda reliable argument for believin' or not ( for me ). There are still 3 things goin' round in my mind - I don't find good arguments for : 1st : CB stated, that they were sick + tired that F 3.01 + F4 were tested only with 512 K RAM - anybody of SSDF friends able to answer this ? Now - this'd explain me the RAM campaign for this " RAM eater " better.... 2nd : There were statements here, " SSDF " should use 200 MMX with this + that added basically - we freaks laugh - or worse, get angry 'bout the use of them old P 90. I really like to remember - even if this ain't too respected - that there's no " SSDF " basically like a company or so ! This is a private organisation of chess friends like you + me, like we all. Some got the money to upgrade - some not. What to do with them, who can't afford so at present ? Throw them outta the organisation ? I truelly believe, that all these mix-results one day, one list, will get into balance, until they all got their new standard....200 MMX....when WE ALL HEREIN allready use AMD K6 300 or 400..... and'll continue moanin' bout the slow SSDF machines..... I really don't like the disrespective tone towards " SSDF " - which are, in reality, private people spendin'lots of time on their hobby. WHO'd like to do all this work, instead ? And WHERE is an alternative to it ? I'd swear - there is no - and has never been - a secret agent who sponsors Co a + then b + now c. The agents must have then changed over the years - I remember Ed's...( ! ) + Richards products in former times shootin' up like rockets - and then lowering down....( good sales from the scratch ) 3rd : now - I know my " old chap " Thorsten for many years...and his uncommon way of approachin' things, i.e. a prog, it's benefit - or not. For me things get absolutely far too academic, when we start to implement feelings + cryptical statements like the worthy of a frog, a stone - statistics show no real.....kissin' a droid or a girl..... now please : WHERE to get an intention of the quality of the prog - if not using those lists ?? We gotta set up an international colloquium of people with the approved - best feelings instead of list use - to judge the upcomoing new progs..... that really can't be true ! C'mon ! ELVIS
