It is less common today, but the term "shareware" is pretty specific in
meaning:  You distribute a program for free, letting people download it to
try it out at no charge.  But _if_ they like the program, and want to continue
to use it, they are requested to send in a registration fee.  Quite often this
fee got them the "full version" to replace the "shareware or light version".
