Go up one level in this thread
Now this message board handles about comper chess in general and computer chess
programming in particular. In the discussion we try to find out why computer
chess programs play the way they do.
If you would, you could prefer something like this in a lot of postings:

With original 1983 comments, typed out on an oldfashioned typewriter, a year
after I bought that first SciSys ChessPartner 2000.
But what is the added value? I am no match for those chess programs, at full
strenght, maybe. But... we knew that already.
So it is clear that the bias of the messages here are about
a. engine-engine
b. engine-very strong player
c. engine testing
to find out how chess programs work, think and make mistakes.
I do play my computer programs a lot, and use them for training and analysis.
Any tip on how to optimize the use of a chess program for getting better is okay
and very welcome. These messages are not very frequent, or maybe absent.
It seems that this forum is more about the computer chess programs themselves
than about the people operating them.
I have a strange feeling you could expect that on a message board about computer
chess.
