Message for John Merlino.

John ,
Last week I congratulated the CM8000 team on excellent customer service,
The CM team created lots of great opening books in addition to the main package
to assist their customers while waiting for the main patch

Sadly I now have to say I think you managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of
victory.

I have a laptop, the CD drive is external to the CPU, there is no chance I am
going to connect my CD drive and cables every time I want to play chess.

I imagine it is a royal pain the butt to insert the CD every time even if you
have a desktop.

We understand that you need protection against CD cloning, so why not use the
same checks that CM7000 uses or something similar. I didn't mind every 20-30
days inserting the CD but not every time.

Put quiet simply, I will not install the patch.
If CM9000 will have the same protection it is just too much trouble for me to
bother with. I will look for another product next time

Please discuss this with your legal and marketing departments.
You are damaging your future sales for little benefit.

This is most definately NOT good customer service.

I hope my next posting will be more positive.
