That case will work fine. The cases in which it will not work are:

1) The user entered some text into the Date field of the "Game Information"
dialog that is not convertable, like "February 14th, 2001".

2) A PGN file was loaded that had unconvertable text already in the date field.

Games that were created by Chessmaster (like tournament games) and then saved in
PGN will be in the proper format.
