Can you send a command to an engine that has already started in Fritz? If you
can, you might like to try sending "noise 0" to the engine. This will make sure
that it sends PVs at earlier plies.

Is it possible to set up a command line parameter in Fritz? I mean one that is
given to the engine when it starts? If so, please add "-log". This will
produce a log file called something like "glc213.log". Send this file to me,
and I may be able to figure out what is actually going on!

Cheers, Tim.
