If I followed correctly the answers of the others, this has solutions
in nine moves.  After 26 hours on a K7/600 (350 MB hash) Chest found
a mate in 8 moves, that does not start with a checking move, and leaves
black with 35 legal answers.  Obviously, that is not the path the playing
programs like to follow.  ;-)
