The patch fixes many bugs in the initial release; you should DEFINITELY get it. Unfortunately, the patch itself breaks the custom board, but it greatly increases the strength and usefulness of the program in many ways. Just go to www.chessmaster.com, click on Downloads, and then the CM8000 upgrade link. jm
