I have been keeping a file of all the positions Fritz can't solve in 3minutes on either of my computers (800Mhz Athlon and 500Mhz PentiumIII) i have over 600 and rising as i haven't sorted out Covax , Test Your Positional Play, Crafty , and one i call endtest which includes ECE3 and MES. I have positions from the Bratko-Kopec test that aren't solved and i noticed a problem when i could catch it. I would run the test and it would solve the problem but i went back later and let it think a little longer it just changed it's mind in under 3minutes so it's not perfect but it should be considering i used the extra ply setting in chessbase position test this did not help 100% of the time as one position from the BK test gets the solution and changes after 6ply the top setting is 5 which is annoying becuase you sometimes will finish 6 or more ply before the time is up especially if it is a endgame problem. If anyone is interested and want either the PGN or CBH files when i am done feel free to ask. I plan on going over these gradually with longer increments sorting out the unsolved once again let's say at 10 minutes , past that if it isn't solved the problem should be in a new nolot test suite especially since the fastest nolot was 16minutes for fritz #7.
