Gandalf has a bug with big learn files and is playing the same "lose" openings. Enrique was playing with big defect learn files. Furthermore, the Gandalf programmer have a lot of ideas but not the time for this things. So he make a little bit here and here. I think Gandalf have the best evaluation and is for correspondence chess clearly the best program. If Steen have more time (version 4.32h is stronger then version 4.32g) I think Gandalf is clear the number one ! Look in the Gandalf games, this program is playing the most interesting attack chess, have an excellent opening book. I think the endgame is the problem. I know over 1.500 Gandalf results and for me is clear that Gandalf is one of the best 4 or maybe at the moment the best chess program in the world. Only good is Gromit (very strong results, version 3.8) Shredder, Deep Fritz and Chess Tiger. But 200 ELO better than the other TOP programs :-)) I think Shredder, Fritz, Tiger and Gandalf have ~ the same ELO +- 50 ELO. I wrote this all in hundrets of postings and eMails. I think enough ... Gandalf and playing streng because it is clear. Best Frank And the best for all Gandalf registered user ... The WB version 4.32h is after Paderborn available. The UCI Gandalf 4.32h version coming soon. I like this, UCI power with Shredder, SOS and Gandalf, furthermore with the super interesting programs Capture, LambChop and also the attack master Patzer. Yace is also compatible to UCI and I hope more programs for this nice GUI coming soon.
