Hi to all! My name is Adolfo Bormida and I'm from Argentina. This is my first post in CCC. I hope you can take me a bit aof patient in order to my no good english, but I want to write in CCC. In R,G.C.C I post two messages in the lasts two days about how can I get a copy of the psion 2.1 (a great program if we look it "age"). Also, I ask to all the newsreadear and in special to the programmers if we shold consirerer piracy a trade of old vertions of chess play programs (like Mchess 1.51 , 1.71, 3.5 or Mephisto Gideon or Genius 1.0 or 2.0, etx). I'm a lawyer and I think that with a "formal"view this is a piracy, because it violate the copywrites. But in "fact"we can thing that is no piracy. I fact, this old vertions are not avaibles in the shopings. Are not avaible the original disk and there are craked around the world! I kwon that we shuold very carefully with this concept. But in the other hand we can think that this propouse can do back in a good deal for the programmers. All the fans of the chess soft want all the programs. But is imposible to buy all the programs in this moment (there are too much very good programs but they are very expensive). One solution is the warez groups, but it is an illegal ans unethical method -in this groups we can see for dowload a CM series or a Power chess series-. Other solution: Go to the pirate shop. More illegal! Other solution: a grup of friend buy a single original program and make a copy. This way is very popular with the CD. My solutions: the programmers give a permitions to trade or put in a web page the old vertions. e; Mchess is for ver. 7, give permition to trade the vertion 4 or 5, Lang give a permition to trade a Genius 3, etc. In this wat all the fans can obtanin a legal copy of a the top programs ( two vertions old) and can make a evaluation for a buy the lastest vertion. Other possible solutions is the special offfert: eg: Price of Rebel 9 $ XX price of Rebel 8 50 % Rebel 7 20 %. I only want to open a honet discution abaut this topic, and a realist method to brocke the piracy! I know that this is more difficult to the easy solutions "Anonymous-warea" and all to put the cracked vertions in this places!
