>It is kind of a sad story though that someone as passionate about computerchess >can't find a better way to resolve this matter . It would be sad, and if proven that he actually stole the money it would greatly reduce my outlook of him. He is very passionate of computerchess. That is a fact. I don't think anyone here can dispute that. I love chess, and he was the one that recently turned me on to computer chess. I think the programs are fabulous. While he is not a very good chess player, he can watch a game and predict almost every move the program in question is going to make. I am having a hard time trying to figure why this has not improved his personal game. Myself on the other hand am a very apt chess player, and 90% of the time I can not predict the move coming from a program. They play to wildly, and non-human.
