Comet doesn't look at Rxf5, it seems to want to send it's King after Black's
pawn in the h file.  I don't think I could have personally played Rxf5 because I
would see it as trading pieces when I wouldn't be able to see an advantage in
trading.

To be honest, I didn't follow the other searches to understand the Rxf5 move
though.
