We do not know because without the bug Gandalf could play against better opponents. I do not understand the decision of the organizers to give Gandalf to play Deep Fritz in the first round. I think that the organizers should try to play the top programs against the weak programs in the first round and they could guess that both Fritz and Gandalf belong to the first half of the players.
