Hi Jim,
you once wrote regarding autoplaying the CM.
"It is very simple. You need to download the "CB_server_ap232.zip" file. After
you unzip it you copy the "winboard232b.exe" file to the Chessmaster directory.
Then it's a simple matter of installing it like a winboard engine. This just
requires you to go to the "Game" menu then "Import xboard Engine" and fill in
the blanks. It is not without problems though. For some reason when the
opponent promotes a pawn CM8K does not get it. From that point on I have to
finish the game manually. This is usually in the ending and almost finished
anyway. When CM8K promotes a pawn there is no problem. I haven't set up a
"Tournament" yet to see if it will continue games automaticall because of the
pawn promotion problem. It requires monitoring anyway. Hope this will all be
fixed in the patch.
Jim"
I tried this and it worked...thanks. The problem with pawn promotion of the
opponent is this still there? or fixed by the patch? With my current tourney
running I have installed the patch but not as yet played any games.
Sarah.
