Hello Sarah,
The underpromotion is a problem with the auto232 adapter not Chessmaster I
think. There is a version of the auto232 program for Chessmaster which will do
the promotion but is not readily available. It is by Chrilly Donninger and as
far as I know he has passed it to only a few people with the understanding it is
not to be passed along so good luck in getting it. I understand that with some
kind of "macro" program you can set up a macro to handle all the messages at the
end of a game and start a new one automatically but I don't know how. I have to
start each game manually. It still does not work very well with some programs
like Chesspartner 5 / Shredder 5. Chesspartner will only play with white pieces
I think and Shredder 5 sometimes wants to play by itself when the game is
started or it's not sure which side it is playing. Sometimes I have to restart
the game several times withe Shredder 5 to get it going. I guess it was
designed to work best with Chessbase programs.
Jim
