A while ago I wrote in asking whether it was possible to reinstate a
EGTB run using Steven Edwards’ tbgen program that had crashed part way
through. Someone kindly responded with some programming hints to do
this. Since then I have acquired a C compiler written a few programs in
an attempt to teach myself C, including reformatting *.epd test suite
files to suit Crafty (a good way to learn about pointers for a man used
to BASIC Left$, Mid$, Right$) and a few recursive routines such as the
classic knight tour and 8 queens-on-a-board which, astonishingly,
eventually worked when I had spotted all the missing brackets and
semi-colons - must get an IDE. So if someone could point me in the
direction of the tbgen source code, I only have the exe-file from
chess.onenet, I feel ready to have a go.
