Amir, if all the programmers provide their autoplay drivers to the SSDF and to nobody else, this will slow down the progress of chess engine software. Autoplay lets programmers learn much more about where their program is going wrong. There will also be complete power in the hands of the SSDF with no one to check their results. I would much rather have everytning out in the open rather than have 1 organization control the play of secret autoplay drivers. My suggestion of having programmers being allowed to supply new tournament opening books to the SSDF whenever they want would certainly eliminate book cooking for ever, not to mention that learning algorithms have gone a long way towards solving this. -- Komputer Korner
