Hi all, here are the results from my current big tourney (40/120, two PIII-550, 256 MB, no autoplayer): Group A: 1. Hiarcs 7.32 5.5 2. Chess Tiger 13.0 5.5 3. Gandalf 4.32f 5.5 4. Deep Fritz 5.0 Shredder 5.0 5.0 6. SOS 11/2000 2.5 (first 3 positions decided by direct comparison: Hiarcs 3.0/4, Tiger 2.0/4, Gandalf 1.0/4) Notes: * Hiarcs scored only one point in its last 5 games. * Fritz and Shredder both came up empty, though it looked like one of them would make it to #2 most of the time. * Gandalf missed becoming the #1 by drawing with SOS in the final round. Group B: 1. Gambit Tiger 1.0 6.5 2. Junior 6.0a 6.0 3. Nimzo 8.0 5.5 Rebel Century 3.0 5.5 (1) 5. Chessmaster 8000 4.5 (3) 6. CSTal 2.03 2.0 (2) (in brackets: number of unrated games scored as draws) Notes: * Gambit and Nimzo didn't lose a single game. * CSTal didn't lose in only two of its games, and these were against Gambit and Nimzo. * Nimzo played 9/10 draws, Chessmaster 6/7. * Nimzo is the only program in SCCS history to be eliminated without a loss, whereas in group A Tiger qualified despite losing 4 games. * Nimzo's streak of 10 undefeated games in one tourney while ending up not the winner is the third longest in SCCS history. #2 was scored by Nimzo 7, BTW.
