If you have Chessbase, all you should have to do to read the .cbv file is double-click it in the windows explorer. From inside Chessbase or Fritz when you want to open a .cbv file you have to select a file format from the drop down list that's a part of the file/open dialog box (select the one that has the .cbv extension included).
