IBM doesn't give a rat's behind about what a few chess players think. The public perception is that deep blue beat the world champion and is the best chess player in the world. IBM isn't going to do _anything_ to change that perception. I wouldn't bet on that. It depends on what IBM thinks the DB mantra is worth to them as a company.
