Programming with the "huge" "far" and other hideous kludges like "halloc()" sends shivers down my spine. I suspect that the only way to get a top chess programmer to use that environment is at gunpoint. If you really want the ultimate, you should get True64 UNIX. Might cost a few million dollars to get a really good setup though. ;-)
