I have purchased both a PIII 800 Eb and an athlon 1.2 ghz. The athlon is much
faster of course. I also am a fan of Hiarcs 7.32 and in 5 min blitz it actually
beats the 1.2 running tiger 75% of the time...10 minutes and higher its a
different story.

In my opinion If you are only buying a computer for a _cahllenge_ then I would
purchase an old PII or an AMD K6. That should give 99% of all people a good
game. Save the extra money and take your wife out to a fancy restaurant and
enjoy(it will be worth much more to you!)
