I think the main key-point to WHAT has happened with Fritz is: the new engine is a TOP-killer. It is chosen out of maybe a few other engines. It is "tuned" against the main-tops. But: it will fail against other programs and plays very miserable against 2nd class/amateurs and NOT BEFORE TESTED programs. THIS engine is the strongest engine, if you let it only play against Mchess7, Hiarcs6 , and and and. But it is weaker than the commercial version from the original Fritz5-CD. I think if people do not test with autoplayer but use their hand and play manually games 40/120 against all kinds of programs this will stabilize in maybe 3 months. Since than, people will believe that fritz is really as good and really as strong as it is suggested in the moment due to very narrow opponents and environment.
