As for now this function consitutes a piece of trash. I would even go so far as to recommend possible purchasers *not* to buy this product until being fixed. Just now I searched for the famous endgame position in Pillsbury-Gunsberg, Hastings 1895, where Pillsbury broke through with 27.f5! Result: *Nothing* But the game is of course in Big2001 and this DB is set to Reference DB... Simply doesn't work. I know that Enrique I. has a lot of similar experiences. As he told me "It happens all the time." Btw. I was informed via private E-mail from Mattias Wuellenweber that there would be a fix to CB7 regarding the function "search for duplicates" (which had serious bugs) *before* 2000-12-24. This was a clear lie, simply because it has not been done. Though it would be very easy to fix according to Wuellenweber... The function "search of the board position" is vital and very important to chess players. Information about how CB8 works in this respect has been sent to the chess clubs in Sweden, as a sheer product information, together with recommendations of other alternatives. Sune Larsson
