I have another problem reported nowhere as far as I know. With the latest update I am not able to load many engines to analyse positions. Even if I load Fritz 6 then unload it and try to load (for exmaple) Fritz 3.1 or another winboard engine, the engine does not start analysing the position. Furthermore, I am often not able to unload this engine anymore. The board vanishes and after a few clicks CB 8 goes completely down! This is a new effect with the newest version! It is reproducible on all of my computers. Thus it must be a bug in CB 8. The second thing is: I have the CB training CD "The accelerated dragon" (very fine material) and with this CD, although everything works fine within the Fritz GUI, in CB 8 I have a problem with the languages. Since I am german, I like to have german as default language. Nevertheless CB 8 switches always autmotically to english (with this CD at least)! The version before (Dec 2000) had a similar bug. There I could switch to german and the first screen displayed was indeed in german. But after scrolling the page, the first bits (!) that were not displayed before are in english! I have submitted this partly to CB, partly in the CSS forum, but there was no response! Any comments?
