It is amazing that some people has got so angry because Tiger 14 and gambit 2 are not already in his hands. From now on Christophe and Ed have learned the lesson, I suppose: not to say anything about nothing never more. Nobody would be angry without knowing of the new release. Once the release was announced, greed to have it at once, right now, has spread like a fire in the prairie. But what is most amazing of all is that the new engines, absolute new versions as programer say, will be for free. Just think: we have been purchasing one chessmaster after another, each duly priced, each coming after a year or more, each plagued with bugs and nevertheless nobody has claimed a right to get the program at once and for free, even when almost everyone of those sucesive versions where almost the very same thing. Some CM not even offered a new engine; what we have purchase year after year has been the same engine -until cm8000- or almost and practically the same gui. And nobody got angry, with the exceptions of those that were so because of bugs. Then take the case of Chessbase. They ask money for everything, except patches or relative upgrades of almost invisible improvement And they ask a LOT of money if the thing is somewhat new. And many of us pay it without a word. And then take the case of some programs whose upgrades, also duly priced, has been LESS strong than the precedent versions. Again, there were some dissapointed people BUT nobody thought they were victimized or cheated. And now, after all that, we have a company that will offer us TWO truly new and powerfull engine for NOTHING and people get angry because it is not already available. Incredible. I will say more. Not because I am an agent of Schroeder and not because I am friends of them, I am neither of that, but because of my own selfishness I would be more than satisfied to pay for it. Yes, to pay for the new engines. I have done it for those programs I have mentioned before, why not for these? It is in my interest -and I suppose in the interest of everybody here- to keep those men working for us, giving us more and more interesting stuff year after year. Am I going to put that in jeopardize because of some paltry 20 or 30 bucks? So, if anyway we are not going to pay nothing, the least thing we can do is just keep the mouth shut. Fernando
