If it is true that HIARCS 6 allows only 9Mb (!?) of hash tables, then why on earth does the configuration allow a total of 64000+ Mb during startup ? I have e-mailed HIARCS 6 on several occassions, asking for the optimum setting on my sytems, but uinfortunately, I have never heard from them. Thanks to all of you who have been kind enough to answer my inquiries. It is my hope that there are still enough people genuinely interested in this field to keep it from falling apart as some claim it to be.
