IMHO, that is not cheating. If know that my opponent (human) does not handle
well close openings, I will play d4. If I know that the weakness is
open openings, I will play e4. That is not cheating, it is part of any
sport competition to take advantage of your opponent's weaknesses.
I don't see the difference here. If a program cannot handle an opening, it's
the programs fault, not the opponents.
The fact that beating somebody all the time with h4 is boring is a complete
different issue.

"I won't play anyone that play 1.e4. I am not prepared yet with my sicilian"
How does it sound?

PS: How does anybody beat a program with h4? is it a bug?
