I have translated stuff from Chessbase to PGN, and there are a lot of
symbols that don't translate.

Maybe you can translate the PGN "white has a decisive space advantage"
to the Informant "space advantage", but you can't translate it back once
you are done with it, because you've lost information.

If I were the only one using the PGN standard, and there were no
existing archives, I would delete the NAG set entirely and start over,
with the Informant symbols as a base.

If I were the only one using the PGN standard, but there were a lot of
existing archives, I think I might add the Informant symbols at the end
(>= 140).

But since there are lots of people with translaters already written, and
I don't own the standard, I don't know what can be done about it. Is
there any support for revision of the standard in such a way the the
Informant symbols are supported?
