yes i can.
it was nice for me too.
we tried to help computerschach and spiele to do the round bulletins.
i think there were 1 or 2 pc's and chess-base-starter installed on it,
so we were able to type in the games.
the bulletin in those days was made with scissors and paper and glue.
i think there was only one scissor in the whole area, a big one.
and we all fought to use it. each day people asked us to lend this scissor.
but we had the power over it !
we had to have to build the bulletin accurate. my "friend" siggi
schuette convinced rank xerox to copy the bulletin, and one day,
after 6 or 7 people have asked us to lend the scissor, GM Helmut Pfleger,
who is very known in germany because of his television chess-shows,
came and asked for it too.
we all LOL and he did not understand WHY.
Also i remember one evening dieter, frederic and siggi and me were sitting
in a pub when siggi and dieter made a bet: that siggi could not drink 10
glass beer at once (in a row)!
siggi won the bet, and dieter lost his suitcase. why?
when siggi had drunken the last beer, we all sat on the table as suddenly
he spite out all the beer over the table.
i was lucky, because sitting next to siggi, but dieter and frederic were
in the direction of siggi spitting out the stuff.
i will never forget dieters face in this moment :-)))

one day thomas nitsche held a speech about AI search techniques in orwell and
mephistoIII. i think not many people understood him.
but i remember that some people (i know who) called him a fool.
i don't think he ever was or is. pity he lived few years in the future while
all others lived in the present.

cologne was not very succesful for mephisto and richard.
kaare danielsen came with a tiny machine, 20 cm "big" and the keys of this
machine were very very difficult to "operate". i think it ran with batteries.

ulf rathsmann was also there (mephisto A-strategy/search program !!)

ed had success with rebel. he got a deal with H+G and i remember mr. hegener
coming in the last round, watching the program and beeing with ed, jan.

one day rebel had heating problems and jan or somebody else helped with cooling
it with a hair-fan !!! this was quite a picture !
somebody cooling a machine with a hair-fan !!
