Following your logic, (for example), if Christophe had pondering code but Bob didn't, CT would have to operate with ponder=off. The point I was trying to make is simple: let each program operate under the conditions the author designed it for. CT is undoubtedly a terribly strong program. Despite the disadvantage of being uni-processor, it may still be better. I'd like to see the authors coordinate a six or ten game match on ICC. -- James author's co
